Job Title: Finance Professor of Practice
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Finance Professor of Practice position in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. The successful candidate will teach graduate-level courses in finance, including managerial economics, principles of finance, international finance, investments, and corporate finance. The position is renewable annually, based on performance, and offers a promotion path with the potential of increasingly longer-term contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Teach graduate-level courses in finance, including managerial economics, principles of finance, international finance, investments, and corporate finance.
- Develop and implement curricula for finance courses.
- Participate in departmental committees and activities, including advising and mentoring students.
- Engage in department and professional service as assigned by the department head.
Requirements:
- Experience teaching finance curriculum or experience within the finance industry.
- An MBA or Master of Science in Finance or a related field.
- Commitment to pursuing teaching excellence, experience interacting with a diverse student population, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Finance.
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) designation.
- Substantial experience teaching graduate-level courses and/or leading and managing in a professional environment.
