About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join WSP USA's growing Sustainability, Energy and Climate Change team as a Project Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in achieving their sustainability and climate resilience goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainability data inventories and life cycle assessments for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources.
  • Conduct verifications of entity-wide inventories for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources.
  • Design and maintain data management systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Develop and implement sustainability or climate risk management performance targets with accompanying strategies and achievement plans.
  • Identify and evaluate tactics and measures for achieving energy, GHG, and other resource reductions.
  • Analyze energy efficiency measures and renewable energy procurement options.
  • Conduct climate- and water-related risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on the latest sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Produce high-quality sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communications.
  • Support business development activities with existing and prospective clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience focused on sustainability, energy, climate change, or related environmental issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline required.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, maturity, credibility, confidence, and integrity.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas crisply and compellingly.
  • Ability to design, conduct, and present quantitative analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with sustainability issues and frameworks such as supply chain management, circularity, LCA, CDP, GRI, TCFD, and/or the GHG Protocol.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $62,800 - $107,800

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $62,800 - $101,200

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
