Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including SOPs, GMPs, and HACCP plans.
  • Monitor and analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Food, Animal, or Life Sciences program or relevant experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in the food industry, with a focus on Quality Assurance and Technical Services.
  • Experience in a USDA facility is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general manufacturing processes, SOPs, GMPs, BRC, Quality Control functions, basic HACCP/food safety requirements, Plant Sanitation processes, and Laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and statistical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
