Service Inspector Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Inspector to join our team. As a Service Inspector, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely vehicle diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely vehicle diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety.
  • Inspect and repair customers' vehicles to ensure they are in accordance with state requirements.
  • Promote a culture of cooperation and collaboration among all team members.
  • Assist other teammates with tasks as needed to consistently deliver on our expectation of delivering a wow experience.

Requirements
  • Minimum two years of automotive repair experience.
  • Must have a valid Virginia Inspector license.
  • Must have at least 1 year experience as a Virginia State Inspector.
  • Must have own tools (We offer a great tool purchase program).
  • Capable of operating machines and equipment used in the automotive mechanic trade.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently follow store policies and procedures.
  • Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Capable of continuous standing, bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs).
  • Availability to work on Saturdays.

Compensation

Our Service Technicians are paid an hourly rate plus commission on all labor - with no cap on commission. Starting hourly rate depends on experience level and ASE certifications.
