- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance, adhering to college policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of Nurse Aide programs, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Represent the college in a professional and positive manner, fostering strong relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred, with a strong foundation in nursing education and pedagogy.
- One year of Long-Term Care experience as a Registered Nurse, per State of Iowa Mandates, with a deep understanding of the needs of geriatric patients.
- Teaching experience and completion of a mandatory Train the Trainer/Teach the Teacher course, with a proven track record of success in the classroom.
- Excellent nursing skills, flexibility, and willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and learning strategies, with a passion for innovation and improvement.
- Ability to pass a background check and possess a valid U.S. driver's license, with a clean driving record.
- Meet Minimum Faculty Standards for hire and adhere to college policies and procedures, with a commitment to academic integrity and excellence.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds, including Nursing Lab equipment and assist in resident transfers, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
- Normal office ergonomics, including sitting or standing for extended periods and using hands to operate computer keyboards and other basic office equipment, with a commitment to comfort and well-being.
- Ability to drive company-owned or personal vehicle, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
