Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment and effective communication.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and policies to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • May assist in orienting new staff members to the department and performing specific procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist certification and CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) licensure.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire (if required at the affiliate).
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in diagnostic radiology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
Working Conditions

This position may regularly work with hazardous drugs identified by NIOSH for purposes of USP 800.
