Job Title: MTS Silicon Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled MTS Silicon Design Engineer to join our team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and establish methodologies for the verification, functional coverage, and/or optimization of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Analyze complex technical data and initiate problem-solving and engineering solutions for issues in the development of AMD's processors and related semiconductor products.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and drive the implementation of test cases and test bench components.
  • Use required technologies and collaborate with engineers/designers to identify and debug root-causes of issues related to functionality and performance.
  • Show technical leadership in complex projects related to enhancing existing AMD technology and new product initiatives, working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a job offered or closely related engineering role.
Preferred Skills:
  • UVM, System Verilog, VHDL, or Verilog.
  • Python, C, C++, PERL, TCL, or Shell.
  • Verification of GPU, CPU, SOC, or other complex IPS.
  • RTL verification, functional verification of microprocessors, hardware verification, graphics IP architecture verification, memory verification IP, or design flows/methodologies for chip verification.
  • Product development cycles.
  • Unix or Linux environments.
  • EDA tools or CAD technology.
