About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Worker II to join our team at the Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct care services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, and/or homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to patients, promoting their autonomy and independence.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a comprehensive and patient-centered approach.
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions, including group and individual sessions, to promote patient stabilization and rehabilitation.
  • Monitor patient activity, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, and intervening as necessary to prevent harm.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress, concerns, and treatment plans, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing patient-centered care.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
