About the Project
The postdoc will work on developing new IW dissipation schemes and investigating nonlinear IW processes using regional ocean models.
Responsibilities
- Implement novel IW dissipation schemes
- Analyze results from simulations and observations
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Math, or Physical Oceanography
- Substantial experience with Wave Turbulence, spectral energy transfers, numerical methods, and development for finite-volume solvers
- Familiarity with programming languages including Fortran, Matlab, and Unix Shell
- Strong skills in theoretical physics, numerical methods, and model development
Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
