Senior Systems and Infrastructure Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems and Infrastructure Security Specialist to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our Edge Ingress Security team, you will play a critical role in securing our global internet sites and apps.
Key Responsibilities- Implement innovative security solutions to defend our eCommerce and corporate web properties against various web-based attacks, DDoS attacks, unwanted scripted traffic, and fraud.
- Log analysis to identify anomalous or scripted traffic, layer 7 attacks, account takeover, and fraud.
- Evaluate security events and key metrics from dashboards and alerts.
- Proactively hunt for anomalous or fraudulent traffic.
- Develop and deploy bot mitigation across dozens of Walmart's global eCommerce sites.
- Manage bot traffic during hype sales events.
- Build and improve reporting, dashboards, and alerting.
- Manage and document resolutions to technical issues and RCA of security incidents.
- Work with site teams to review and classify bot traffic.
- Passion for data and security.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience using Splunk or a comparable log analysis solution.
- Experience in network and web-related protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, etc.).
- Strong web infrastructure and security fundamentals (JavaScript, HTML, Cookies, DDoS).
- Familiar with at least one scripting language and one Database language.
- A strong sense of accountability and self-motivation.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience in Information Security.
