About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III to join our IT team at Walmart Global Tech. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and support of our Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange 2019, Microsoft Office, and Proofpoint e-mail archival environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office environments.
  • Perform advanced system administration tasks, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 applications, Exchange 2019, Office, and Proofpoint archival platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in repetitive tasks.
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements to optimize the performance of Microsoft systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans for Microsoft systems, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and support for all IT infrastructure components.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for complex issues related to Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Office, working closely with helpdesk and other support teams.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Exchange Online, or similar are highly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange 2019, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and hybrid environments.
  • Experienced in utilizing and analyzing networking troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark/Netmon, Fiddler, and Charles Proxy.
  • Deployment of applications using Intune and SCCM.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
