Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Psychologist Program Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion plan to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect within the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address systemic barriers to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Provide training and education to employees on diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices, employee development, and retention.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • At least three years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year of experience at the GS-13 grade level.
  • Ability to translate management goals and objectives into well-coordinated and controlled work operations.
  • Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop and implement solutions that result in sound operation of the program.
Working Conditions

The work is sedentary and is usually accomplished while the employee is comfortably seated at a desk or table. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with attendance of meetings and conferences, or while researching files.
