Job Summary:

The Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with our neurosurgery team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with neurosurgeons to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform other medical procedures as needed
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a neurosurgery setting
  • Active Iowa NP license and board certification required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
