We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hockey Skills Coach to join our team at South Suburban Parks and Recreation. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing expert on-ice instruction to our hockey program participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging on-ice drills and lessons to participants of all skill levels
  • Develop and maintain accurate attendance records and evaluate participant progress
  • Collaborate with our coaching staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience
Requirements
  • Proficient ice skating skills and a strong understanding of the game of hockey
  • Minimum 4 years of ice-skating and hockey skills experience at the collegiate or professional level
  • 2+ years of coaching or instructing experience
  • USA Hockey clinics or higher classes encouraged
  • Current certifications in AED/CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain within 30 days
