A Logistics Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient management of warehouse operations. Successful candidates must complete a Forklift Driving Skills assessment to be eligible for this role.

Key Responsibilities of a Logistics Forklift Operator:

  • Safely operating a forklift in compliance with safety protocols
  • Receiving and organizing incoming inventory according to warehouse guidelines
  • Maintaining a systematic and safe storage layout for all handled items
  • Ensuring cleanliness in the assigned work area (both yard and warehouse)
  • Efficiently reloading delivery trucks
  • Sorting and storing returned products from delivery routes
  • Keeping accurate records of daily operational checklists (including pre-trip inspections)
  • Adhering to GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Utilizing production equipment and related technologies as necessary
  • Meeting established performance and productivity benchmarks
  • Demonstrating consistent and reliable attendance

Logistics Forklift Operator Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old; 21 years or older if a CDL is necessary
  • Successfully pass the physical capabilities assessment (if applicable)
  • Possession of a valid CDL license (if required)
  • Complete DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Background in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Familiarity with racking systems and the loading/unloading of pallets
  • Knowledge of operational standards and procedures
