Job Summary:
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the Housekeeping Department at Holiday Inn Express Charleston. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of room attendants, house attendants, public area cleaners, and floor supervisors to ensure that all housekeeping tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Manage Daily Operations: Assist in the managing and directing of the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department, including staff training, coaching, and counseling.
- Quality Assurance and Cost Control: Participate in and enforce quality assurance measures for the Housekeeping Department and department cost control measures.
- Communication and Coordination: Maintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with the Front Office and other departments of the hotel.
- Guest Room Security: Ensure that guest rooms are properly secured and that proper key control procedures are utilized by the housekeeping staff.
- Guest Feedback and Complaints: Review guest feedback forms, take actions on guest complaints, and share guest compliments with staff members.
- Reporting and Administration: Print all housekeeping-related reports and traces from the Property Management System (PMS).
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a supervisory capacity, with 2 years of line-level experience in all aspects of the Housekeeping Department.
