We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team at Cape Fear Family Medical Care, a division of the Raleigh-Durham Medical Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work collaboratively with our clinical department and provide timely, proficient services for all patients.

The successful candidate will have excellent teamwork and accountability skills, as well as the ability to function successfully within a high-performing organization. We offer a competitive salary of $42,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a representative of the patient's medical home team.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records electronically.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by following manufacturer's instructions; perform routine maintenance and act as liaison with the company.
  • Maintain patient charting, testing and flow sheets with accurate knowledge of medical terminology.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, phlebotomy techniques, administering injections, medication conversions, electronic medical charting, etc.
