We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to become part of our community, which is devoted to delivering outstanding service to our residents. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing resident care management and guiding staff to uphold Buckner's standards of quality, service, and hospitality. Key Responsibilities:- Implement and monitor the individual health care plan; administer or oversee treatments as directed by physicians.
- Administer injections and conduct in-house testing; accurately record vital signs.
- Conduct thorough rounds of all residents, utilizing health care plans; collaborate with physicians and ensure timely documentation of visits.
- Maintain up-to-date health care plans and document any significant changes in resident conditions.
- Supervise nursing aides in their duties, assigning tasks and managing schedules effectively.
- Ensure the accurate preparation and administration of prescribed medications.
- Manage medication orders and refills, ensuring timely documentation of initial doses.
- Oversee charting on your shift and evaluate all resident documentation in line with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Identify significant changes in resident conditions and take appropriate actions as guided by the Director of Nursing.
- Monitor dietary and fluid intake, reporting any ongoing issues to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Communicate professionally with resident families, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Complete focused assessments and discharge documentation accurately and promptly.
- Address resident disputes or disruptive behavior to maintain a harmonious environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all activities.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and foster strong working relationships.
To excel in this position and contribute positively to our team, you should possess the following:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a valid Texas nursing license.
- Preferred experience in long-term care settings.
