Camp Fire Alaska is a day camp located in Anchorage, providing a unique opportunity for young people to explore the forest, practice target sports, or launch a canoe from the waterfront.

Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to providing youth with the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are through positive and responsible interactions.

**Job Summary**

A Waterfront Adventure Leader at Camp Fire Alaska will be responsible for supervising staff and campers during swimming activities and facilitating a fun, safe, and well-thought-out aquatics program. This role requires a strong focus on safety and customer service, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The ideal candidate will have current lifeguard certification and prior experience working with youth. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $19.40 - $21.55/hour DOE, plus a bonus for completing the full season.

**Responsibilities**

  • Provide supervision to staff and campers during swimming activities
  • Facilitate a fun, safe, and well-thought-out aquatics program
  • Minute-to-minute supervision of a group of campers while working with other counselors and specialists
  • Participate in and facilitate a variety of camp activities

**Qualifications**

  • Current lifeguard certification
  • Sixteen (16) years of age or older required
  • Prior experience working with youth preferred
