Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to asset management teams in the preparation and submission of regulatory documentation, which includes drilling permits, completion reports, flare permits, commingle permits, and injection permits along with all necessary forms.
  • Conduct research and aid in the resolution of compliance-related issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date tracking systems to ensure accurate information is readily available.
  • Request and evaluate as-drilled plats supplied by surveying firms.
  • Distribute regulatory filings to relevant teams and departments as required.
  • Support the review of assets for compliance matters during acquisition and divestiture processes.
  • Collaborate with service providers to obtain, assess, and file W-15 forms.
  • Complete all necessary data collection for completion documentation.
  • Analyze and address violation notices for the designated area.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in understanding and interpreting State and Federal regulations.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in filing State and Federal documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to establish and maintain effective relationships with various regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence other departments regarding potential issues.
  • Proficient in applying knowledge and utilizing critical thinking skills to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in RRC regulatory matters.
  • Previous experience in the Permian Basin is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with oilfield terminology and operations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, while adapting to rapidly changing situations and maintaining attention to detail.
