Role Summary:
The Practical Nurse will deliver care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, adhering to the scope of their licensure. You will play a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in patient assessments and contribute to their overall care.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Conduct laboratory tests and provide therapeutic services.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, and available resources.
- Document patient encounters accurately, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
- Transcribe orders for laboratory tests, medications, and other evaluations.
- Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent communication, standing, walking, and lifting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Occasional lifting of patients and other physical activities as needed.
