About the Role

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a key member of the FactoryFix team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Move furniture and equipment as required, and set up and take down equipment for meetings and events.
  • Ensure proper lockout/tagout procedures are followed consistently, and receive, log, and follow up on all maintenance requests from other departments.
  • Support on-call needs for alarms and emergency call-outs, and perform repairs on maintenance equipment and utility vehicles.
  • Independently perform carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and painting tasks as required, and complete and document routine periodic inspections for building equipment and systems.
  • Use a Maintenance Management System to effectively complete and track both corrective and preventive maintenance work activity, and set priorities for effectively managing workload.
  • Work with the Facilities team to develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and schedules, and support special projects with outside vendors.
  • Operate various motor equipment, and work in a team environment to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic maintenance experience, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge and use of handheld tools.
  • Valid driver's license, with the ability to drive corporate vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in creating Preventive Maintenance Plans.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Machine safety inspections.
  • HVAC knowledge.
