About the Job
The Oshman Family JCC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our facilities team as a Housekeeping Staff member. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all areas of the campus, including offices, classrooms, and public spaces
- Dust and mop floors, move equipment and furniture as needed, and wash walls, windows, doors, and other surfaces
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling, and assist in the laundry area
- Identify and address safety hazards, and take initiative to complete tasks as needed
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet established goals and objectives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar institution preferred
- Ability to deal with frequent interruptions, identify safety hazards, and complete tasks to a high standard
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and communicate effectively (written and oral)
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
