Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, common areas, and other hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including floors, surfaces, and equipment
  • Empty trash and recyclables from patient rooms and common areas
  • Restock supplies, including linens, soap, and paper products
  • Operate a commercial vacuum cleaner and other cleaning equipment
  • Assist with special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning of patient rooms and common areas
  • Follow hospital infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infection
  • Work effectively as a team member to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull cleaning equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a hospital setting, which can be physically demanding and requires standing for long periods of time. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
