Role Overview
Humana is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Provider Development IT team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and managing data solutions on modernized, cloud-based technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and optimization of data architectures and pipelines.
- Participate in the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using SQL and cloud-based big data technologies.
- Support the implementation of data flow processes to enhance data accessibility and reliability across applications.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate data-driven analytics into our performance management products.
- Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making processes to ensure efficient data handling and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, data science, or a related field.
- Exposure to data engineering tools and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, or similar cloud-based environments.
- Experience with SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences through data-driven insights.
