CNC Machinist

Linamar Corporation is seeking a skilled CNC Setup Technician to join our team. As a CNC Setup Technician, you will be responsible for leading part changeovers in the CNC department, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.

• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines with mild to moderate issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Lead part changeovers, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to production.
• Remove and install heat treat coils, and make pattern adjustments as needed.
• Perform quality checks on parts generated by CNC machines, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Edit programs as needed, and inform supervisors of changes.
• Check and set loader points on all CNC machines, and change out grinding wheels as required.
• Assist in the training and development of new operators, and fill in for supervisors as needed.

• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Programming experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Leadership qualities and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
