Compounding Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compounding Department Manager to lead our team at Voyant Beauty. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Compounding Department and ensuring the manufacturing of bulk products meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic support in the Compounding Department, ensuring that raw materials are blended together per formula instructions using required equipment, and that equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and calibrated.
  • Lead, assign, and supervise the activities of the Compounding Department to ensure performance expectations and production schedules are met timely and with the highest level of quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate compounding schedules and related activities.
  • Conduct thorough investigations on batching issues, incidents, and deviations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and execute action plans related to internal and external audit results, including improvements to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturing instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety processes.
  • Perform all work in a manner consistent with our company's quality system and FDA good manufacturing practices, maintaining a clean and orderly area at all times.
  • Enforce safety and environmental policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Assist the safety department and safety committee with investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents.
  • Verify that all compounding employees have received necessary training and are following all applicable SOPs, Work Instructions, and cGMPs procedures.
  • Identify and recommend new or upgraded equipment and methods to improve productivity and capacity.
  • Work with supervisors to ensure that all shifts work together effectively.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) required in a related field or an equivalent level of education and 5+ years of experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Compounding or Processing operations in a related field preferred.
