Compensation
The Treatment Plant Operator I - Wastewater position offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.27, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sampling, monitoring, and testing to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing wastewater treatment and stormwater management.
  • Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Act Regulations in all operations.
  • Collect wastewater samples and perform onsite laboratory testing in accordance with TCEQ regulations.
  • Inspect the facility to gather data from hour meters, verify pump operations, initiate centrifuge processes for sludge management, and identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment and manage basin upkeep.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in wastewater operations or a closely related field is necessary.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Class D Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License
  • Class C Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License (Preferred)
