Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Body Technician to join our team at European Coachworks of San Marcos. As a Body Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with collision repair of damaged vehicles, performing work in a priority order assigned by the Body Shop Manager, and ensuring high standards of technical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with collision repair of damaged vehicles within center time lines and AIR quality standards
  • Perform work in the priority order assigned by the Body Shop Manager
  • Give adequate notice if a promised completion time cannot be achieved
  • Recommend needed repairs or maintenance on cars as appropriate
  • Ensure high standards of technical efficiency and ensure no supplies are wasted

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years minimum of automotive body technician experience with European vehicles
  • Minimum of 4-5 ICAR courses
  • ASE Certifications preferred but not necessary
  • Basic knowledge of auto parts, systems, tool usage and knowledge (tools are provided)
  • Must be able to multi-task in all phases of body repair
  • Results-driven with great organizational skills
  • Great team-player, responsive and proactive
  • Current Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Surroundings: Work is usually performed inside the shop where there is exposure to draft, noise and fumes from vehicles. Work is occasionally performed outside under adverse weather conditions.
  • Frequently: standing, walking, bending, twisting and/or stooping, kneeling and/or squatting, climbing stairs, lifting, reaching and/or lifting overhead, grasping/grabbing with hands, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to lift and/or move heavy auto body parts up to 100 lbs
