Vanderbilt University Medical Center is a global leader in teaching, discovery, and patient care, seeking a talented individual to join its Strategy and Innovation Team.

The successful candidate will lead the team's delivery of client workshops, projects, and training, helping the organization's teams make sense of complex situations and design a response that promotes impact and innovation.

The team delivers 2-3 medium-high complexity workshops (or projects) each month, as well as client training and advice in its methods.

Topics for client work are wide-ranging, from research portfolios and clinical service enhancements to medical education innovations and operations improvement.

The team's methods draw heavily from anthro-complexity, with some also from strategic design.

The Principal Consultant will lead workshops and projects, including project management, activity design and assembly, client correspondence, workshop facilitation, and final documentation.

They will also translate new methods into department operations and training for generalists and advise clients on how to apply methods on their own.

Key responsibilities include experience leading planning and delivery of similar workshops and projects with similar methods, experience leading entrepreneurial projects translating new or nascent methods, and proficiency in delivering on a portfolio with many client projects with different topics at the same time.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anthro-complexity, strategic design, and collaborative workshop facilitation.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position working daytime hours Monday-Friday, with extended hours for events. Weekend events are rare, but occasionally occur.

Working Location:
Hybrid requiring to be onsite for events at our Collaboration Space in Nashville, TN, near the central medical center.

The position reports to the Director of Strategy and Innovation.
