About This Opportunity
This exciting opportunity exists within SWJ TECHNOLOGY, LLC to lead our team of experienced engineers and technicians in developing advanced automation systems for a state-of-the-art automotive manufacturing facility. With your strong background in project planning, coordination, and technical expertise in automation systems, you will be instrumental in delivering projects efficiently while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Construction & Engineering Phase
  1. You will collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure alignment of automation scopes with project requirements.
  2. Evaluate and approve supplier proposals after facilitating regular design discussions.
  3. Provide support to suppliers, escalating any issues as necessary.
  4. Ensure that design adheres to TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) standards.
  5. Develop and implement plans for implementation, considering compatibility with existing IT systems.
  6. Verify the accuracy of e-plans and PLC programs.
  7. Document project progress through various reports and presentations.
Installation & Realization Phase
  1. You will manage the installation process, coordinating efforts between multiple stakeholders.
  2. Evaluate concepts for feasibility and efficiency, suggesting improvements as needed.
  3. Document and analyze processes using FMEA methodology.
  4. Monitor project timelines and update stakeholders accordingly.
  5. Standardize automation components, ensuring consistency across projects.
  6. Gather data for operational metrics such as material and energy consumption.
Commissioning & Documentation Phase
  1. You will oversee the commissioning process, resolving technical issues as they arise.
  2. Inspect sites to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  3. Provide training and support to operating personnel during production ramp-up.
  4. Prepare comprehensive documentation, including technical reports and change logs.
  5. Address and resolve defects quickly to ensure system functionality.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automation systems, preferably in the automotive sector.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of automation standards, drive technology, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Siemens STEP S7, WinCC, SCADA, and E-Plan P8 software.
  • Familiarity with Profinet, Ethernet, and other industrial communication protocols.

Additional Information:
  • This position requires strict adherence to safety standards.
  • Experience working with Volkswagen's automation and electrical equipment standards is highly desirable.
  • Travel may be required for this role.
