Job Overview

About the Role

The Dietary Aide will work under the supervision of the Culinary Manager and be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. This includes tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and taking out trash.


Key Responsibilities
  • Fully prepared meals in accordance with recipes and dietary requirements;
  • Manage inventory control, ensuring adequate stock levels for efficient meal preparation;
  • Practice strict kitchen safety and sanitation procedures at all times;
  • Assist dietary cooks with food production and presentation;
  • Maintain accurate records of meal preparation and consumption.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum two years of experience in customer service;
  • Minimum one year of food service experience;
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently;
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays with varying shifts;
  • A background in safety and sanitation compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, we prefer candidates with:

  • Current ServSafe certification or Food Handler certification;
  • Experience working in long-term care environments.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide opportunities for career growth and professional development within our organization.
