We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic Nurse Specialist to join our team in Tucson, USA. As a Paramedic Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting plasma center operations and ensuring the highest level of customer service and quality.
The successful candidate will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. You must also follow guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provide center-level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $21.15 - $29.09 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
