Role Summary:
As a Safety Representative, you will collaborate with the Branch Manager, team members, and the Safety Team to achieve all safety objectives and compliance standards. You will oversee safety performance across various environmental projects, ensuring adherence to regulations and providing expert guidance. This role involves conducting site assessments, engaging with clients, and promoting a culture of safety by addressing unsafe practices among team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of safety training initiatives.
  • Stay informed about OSHA regulations related to construction and factory safety, including PRCS, LO/TO, HAZWoper, Fall Protection, and PPE.
  • Conduct field safety audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Inspect safety equipment for functionality and maintenance.
  • Oversee training programs and recertification processes.
  • Manage the medical surveillance program.
  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure safe working conditions on project sites.
  • Provide technical support regarding safety equipment and procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors for safety supplies management.
  • Foster relationships with clients.
  • Travel requirements are minimal (approximately 5%).
  • Flexibility in work hours may be necessary.
  • Oversee the near-miss reporting program.
  • Investigate workplace injuries and coordinate medical responses as needed.

Additional Duties:
The Safety Representative may also be assigned other responsibilities by SES as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in health and safety compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with operational personnel on safety policies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, and scheduling skills.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • OSHA 30-hour Training is preferred.
