This position will contribute to our Ipsos Interactive Services, which is committed to utilizing advanced technology and innovative methodologies to provide actionable insights to our clients. We prioritize excellence, integrity, and making a significant impact through data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Spearhead the budgeting process, including a comprehensive five-year strategic plan and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with Ipsos Group guidelines and North American business strategies.
  • Business Partnership: Provide robust support to business leaders, collaborating closely to ensure alignment with key performance indicators and financial objectives while balancing fiduciary responsibilities with business growth.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage financial operations for the Business Line and assist in the financial governance of the North American business, preparing management reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monthly Reporting: Generate and disseminate monthly financial reports, utilizing the company's financial reporting tools to manage business performance and identify opportunities and challenges by product line and major clients.
  • Budget Monitoring: Oversee Business Unit budgets and forecasts, consolidating results, analyzing sector performance, and communicating findings to the Business Unit leadership team.
  • Global Project Support: Provide senior financial guidance on global initiatives, including proforma analyses of project outcomes and projections.
  • Product Development Financial Support: Collaborate with Product Development and Project Management teams in North America and globally, overseeing cost assessments, tracking key metrics, and identifying productivity and profitability enhancement opportunities.
  • Vendor Management: Conduct financial reconciliations of accounts payable, supporting accounting teams to ensure accurate invoice processing and timely payments.
  • Functional Leadership: Collaborate effectively within the US and Canadian Finance and Accounting teams, offering leadership, guidance, and fostering teamwork.
  • Team Development: Direct and mentor junior finance team members, providing daily guidance and coaching.
  • Ad Hoc Project Management: Manage special projects as assigned.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with external stakeholders, including both internal and external auditors.

Success Indicators:

  • As a strategic partner, the successful candidate will add value through strategic analysis aimed at driving profitable growth.
  • Key initiatives will include evaluating P&L variances, managing key sales metrics, providing organizational guidance, and collaborating with Business Unit Leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • The role will ensure adequate internal controls, adherence to Ipsos policies, timely availability of accurate business information, insightful analysis, and the safeguarding of the Company's assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying complex financial information.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in financial management practices.
