Role Summary: The Cybersecurity Risk Management Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the management, evaluation, and reduction of risks within our information security and cyber defense framework. This position is pivotal in leading the IT security risk and audit initiatives, employing widely recognized standards and methodologies for IT auditing and risk assessment (such as NIST, ISO, PCI, and ISACA).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough reviews related to cybersecurity controls, ensuring compliance with established standards and organizational policies.
  2. Plan and execute assessments of IT security controls to gauge their effectiveness, managing remediation efforts for identified vulnerabilities.
  3. Maintain a comprehensive IT security risk and compliance matrix, providing management reports that detail system controls and business process risks.
  4. Oversee the Third Party Risk Management Program (TPRM), analyzing relevant reports and mapping them to key IT security and compliance frameworks.
  5. Manage the IT security vulnerabilities program, prioritizing assets and operations based on their sensitivity and criticality.
  6. Estimate potential impacts and recovery costs for critical assets in the event of a security breach.
  7. Identify and implement cost-effective strategies to mitigate risks, including the development of new policies and technical controls.
  8. Coordinate and track the resolution of audit findings, documenting results and creating action plans for risk mitigation.
  9. Produce formal audit documentation in accordance with ISACA standards, promoting adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in IT auditing (CISA certification preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in IT Risk Management lifecycle.
  • 3 years of hands-on technical experience in roles such as developer or system administrator.
  • Familiarity with NIST Risk Assessment Standards.
  • Extensive experience in evaluating and designing IT General Controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in business process mapping and documentation, along with policy and procedure formulation.
  • Recent experience in Information Security with a solid understanding of the current threat landscape.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PCI DSS standards.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Certifications:

CISA and CISSP certifications are preferred.
