Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HCC Risk Adjustment Coder Specialist to join our team at MedKoder, LLC. As a key member of our coding team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely coding services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Abstract and code diagnosis and documentation information from medical records
  • Research and resolve coding projects as assigned
  • Document requested information from medical records
  • Determine valid encounters, including legibility and valid signature requirements
  • Identify valid face-to-face encounters
  • Perform ongoing analysis of medical record charts for coding compliance
  • Meet daily production goals and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Participate in conference calls as necessary to provide information and feedback
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an AHIMA or AAPC certified program with a professional credential (RHIT, CCS, CPC-H, etc.)
  • High school diploma required; associates or BS degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of coding experience, with at least one year of specialized experience in Medicare Risk Adjustment disciplines
  • Auditing experience and ICD-10 experience/education are a plus
