Job Overview

Ring's End, Inc. is on the lookout for a dedicated part-time Gate Guard to join our team in ensuring the seamless operation of our retail environment. This role involves working 3 to 4 days a week, playing a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our lumber yard.

As a well-established retailer of lumber and building materials, we have been serving the community since 1902. Our family-owned business is committed to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to builders, remodelers, and homeowners alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the entrance and exit points of the lumber yard, ensuring that all items leaving the premises are properly invoiced and accounted for.
  • Guide visitors and truck drivers to their designated areas within the yard or buildings.
  • Inspect outgoing vehicles to prevent unauthorized removal of company property.
  • Assist customers and collaborate with yard employees and truck drivers to facilitate their tasks.
  • Handle various building materials, ensuring proper stock placement and yard cleanliness.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient math skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication abilities with both customers and colleagues.
  • Capability to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
