Gate Guard Job Description

Ring's End Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time Gate Guard to work 3 to 4 days a week in Branford, CT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy of outgoing materials by matching purchase tickets to items loaded on vehicles.
  • Direct visitors and truckers to various areas of the grounds or buildings.
  • Inspect outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products.
  • Perform customer service tasks and assist other yard employees and truck drivers in completing their assigned tasks.
  • Handle lumber, plywood, and other building materials as needed to maintain stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lumber yard.
Requirements:
  • Strong math skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
