Job Summary

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Balboa Water Group, you will be responsible for sustaining and value engineering projects, evaluating and improving electrical control system boards in collaboration with the product design team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, evaluate, and improve spa, pool, and bath electrical control systems and control panel boards (PCBA).
  • Investigate and utilize new technologies where appropriate.
  • Investigate and resolve product problems on new and legacy products.
  • Work with the electrical design team to improve the product manufacturability.
  • Develop schematics, select components, and oversee PCB buildouts.
  • Work with the Test Engineering team to develop customized PCBA for signal conditioning and testing.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Provide support for sustaining and new product issues in Manufacturing and the field.
  • Support continual cost reduction efforts and maintain company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in electronics systems design and development; 1+ years experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience should include microcontrollers, power supplies, and RF circuits.
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout.
  • Experience with developing electronics products for wet environments a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a changing workload.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess problem-solving skills and decision-making and can drive solutions to completion.
  • Ability to interact with coworkers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to travel internationally and willing to attend global meetings in different time zones.
