We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team at Tesla. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining infrastructure design standards, advocating for Tesla's interests with local authorities and utility companies, and driving innovation and first principles mindset in infrastructure design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure design standards and guidelines for mechanical infrastructure scope of work.
  • Advocate for Tesla's interests with local authorities and utility companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement infrastructure design projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop conceptual designs and identify technical and financial risks, suggesting alternative solutions to mitigate these risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of work experience in infrastructure design, preferably in an owner-operator and Design/Consultancy firm setting.
  • Expert ability to work with utility companies, managing and designing utility upgrades, and experience with Design of Industrial type of Facilities and Data Centers is a plus.
  • Licensed Engineer in CA, TX, NV, FL, and/or NY, with expertise in International Mechanical Code.
Compensation and Benefits
