Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Lineman to join our team at Southwire Company LLC. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for the safe repair and rejuvenation of medium to high voltage underground cables using our patented technology and process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment with zero electrical contact incidents or personal injuries.
  • Craftwork: Operate TDR waveform and RF locating equipment to perform cable testing and analysis, place and operate cable injection equipment, and inject URD and feeder cables with Novinium patented repair/rejuvenation fluids.
  • Project Management: Coordinate injection and digging activities, maintain rolling stock and equipment, and select injection adapters and cable accessories.
  • Customer Relations: Provide positive customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Relevant work experience as a Lineman, Class A, Class B Lineman, First Class Power Lineman, or Cable Splicer with current certification or documentation.
  • Experience with underground line work, including URD, fault location and repair, and switching.
  • Strong Lineman underground craftwork skills, including inline splices, terminations, and elbows.
  • Ability to read circuit maps and basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable DMV record.
Working Conditions
  • Able and willing to travel on a regular basis.
  • Able to safely climb poles if needed.
  • Able to lift, operate, pull, and carry at least 75 lbs for a distance of 300 ft.
  • Able to stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces for an extended period of time.
