Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lineman to join our team at Oncor Electric Delivery. As a Lineman, you will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines and structures in accordance with our Construction Standards Manuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines and structures
  • Work on conductors and equipment energized at distribution voltages using approved protective equipment
  • Lead a crew in the absence of a Crew Supervisor
  • Provide leadership and training for employees in lower classifications
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions during both normal and extended working hours
  • Be available for a regular call-out schedule and be available in other emergency situations or when needed, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment resulting in minimal down time
  • Responsible for his/her personal safety at all times, as well as the safety of other employees and the public
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years related distribution utility construction work experience
  • Certificate or degree from an accredited lineman school is preferred
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or related field is a plus
  • Basic computer skills and software such as, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Outlook a plus
  • Able to provide proof of successful lineman and safety training programs
  • Must have a valid Texas Class A CDL
