At NorthBay Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Counselor Ambassador to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring maximum reimbursement to the hospital and physicians in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Establish payor sources for uninsured and underinsured patients
- Guide patients through the application process for government programs, charity care, or other insurance types
- Conduct educational conversations with patients to explain coverage eligibility and benefits
- Maintain and promote an attitude of professionalism and empathy
- High School Graduate or GED preferred
- Patient Access and/or Revenue Cycle relevant certification required within 12 months
- Five or more years of customer engagement experience in financial counseling, eligibility screening, and/or collections roles
Competitive hourly pay rate based on years of experience in a similar role
