Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Assistant to join our Endocrinology team at Prevea Health. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
  • Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts.
  • Instruct patients and families as directed within the scope of licensure or certification.
  • Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
  • Maintain exam rooms and equipment to ensure infection control standards are met.
Requirements
  • Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician, or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practical nurse or medical assistant to provide patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant in the state of WI through an approved accreditor.
  • Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor.
  • Licensed EMT or AEMT and maintain this credential throughout employment.
Working Conditions

  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
