Wound Care Specialist

Job Opportunity
Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive wound care services to patients, including diagnosis, assessment, and treatment planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive diagnosis and wound assessment of patients
- Ordering appropriate lab tests, imaging studies, and radiographic studies
- Management of hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments
- Coordination of care for assigned patients, including nursing care, nutrition, medications, dressings, and adjunctive wound therapies
- Review of patient charts, writing progress notes, tabulating data, and completing other required medical record documentation

Qualifications include:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's program
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner through a national board certification
- Wound care certification or experience preferred; training in hyperbaric therapy will be provided
