Job Summary
Cardinal Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead a 340B retail pharmacy within a community health center. This role requires a strong clinical and business acumen, with the ability to improve patient access and quality of care through medication therapy management, immunizations, and patient consultation.
About the Role
- Collaborate with health center leadership to deliver clinical and dispensing services, ensuring seamless integration of pharmacy operations with overall health center goals.
- Implement best practices and ensure department compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure adequate staffing and accurate records of prescriptions, managing inventory and supplies effectively.
- Maintain security of the prescription area and report any thefts or diversions, upholding the integrity of our pharmacy operations.
- Comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice, staying updated on industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD preferred, with 2+ years of pharmacy management experience or 3-5 years of related pharmacy experience.
- Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located, along with Immunization Certification or willingness to become certified within 90 days.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
