About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team at Enlighten, an HII Company. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and deployment of custom software components and integration of open-source code to address complex time series analysis problems using cutting-edge Big Data/Cloud technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
  • Develop infrastructure in AWS and leverage modern tools to define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
  • Work autonomously identifying and solving problems quickly while working toward broader strategic goals set by Architects on the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software components.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Python or Java) with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Must have experience developing infrastructure in AWS and have a solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, applications, and proficiency in shell scripting (Shell/Bash).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to support some work on customer site in San Antonio, TX.
Preferred Requirements
  • DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer.
  • Prior experience or familiarity with DISA's Big Data Platform or other Big Data systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and agile software development methodologies is highly desired.
