As a NYFS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Forms 1099 and 1042-S, as well as leading projects related to IRW compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective IRW compliance strategies to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide consulting services to clients on operational tax functions and IRW requirements, leveraging strong technology skills to enhance compliance process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve IRW compliance issues, including conducting withholding agent diagnostic reviews to assess FATCA and CRS impacts.
  • Assist clients in evaluating their compliance with withholding responsibilities in preparation for IRS or local government audits.
  • Stay up-to-date on IRS regulations and guidelines related to IRW, ensuring internal processes are current and compliant.
  • Conduct internal IRW compliance training sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams for comprehensive compliance strategies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in a relevant role, ideally in a Big 4, law firm, or similar environment with a focus on IRW compliance.
  • Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a preference for a degree in Taxation from an accredited college/university.
  • Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, MTX, MBA, PMP, or CBAP, with a strong understanding of operational tax functions in the IRW context.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Alteryx, databases, SharePoint, VBA, or Java, combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
