POSITION SUMMARY

As a Safety Coordinator at our esteemed establishment, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests, staff, and property. You will play a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of patrons while upholding club policies and regulations. Acting as a key representative of the venue, you will engage with visitors, manage crowd dynamics, and respond effectively to any incidents or emergencies that may occur.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Oversee and manage the flow of guests both inside and outside the venue, ensuring a safe and organized environment during busy hours and events.
  • Verify the age and identity of patrons by checking identification to comply with legal age requirements and club policies.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of bags to prevent the entry of prohibited items and substances.
  • Enforce club policies regarding behavior, dress code, and conduct, addressing any violations or disturbances promptly and professionally.
  • Respond to and deescalate any disruptive or potentially hazardous situations, taking appropriate measures to maintain a secure atmosphere.
  • Perform regular patrols of the venue to identify potential security risks and maintain a visible security presence.
  • Be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies, such as medical incidents, altercations, or evacuations.
  • Maintain clear communication with management, fellow security personnel, and other staff members to coordinate security efforts.
  • Assist and provide information to patrons, including directions and general customer service inquiries.
  • Document all security-related incidents, actions taken, and observations in detailed reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
